Chelsea are reportedly ready to pounce for Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, with negotiations between the two clubs currently ongoing.
The Premier League champions are negotiating a fee with Roma for the centre-back, who could be allowed to leave the Stadio Olimpico for a fee close to €35m, according to Sky Italia.
Rudiger’s Roma team-mate Kostas Manolas has also been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer and that talk intensified on Thursday when the Greek star rejected a switch to Russian outfit Zenit.
Roma need to bring in money to ease their financial issues and it is thought that one of Rudiger or Manolas, or maybe even both, will be sold during this transfer window.
Indeed, Rudiger’s agent is said to be heading to London to discuss personal terms with Chelsea for his client ahead of an expected swoop for Antonio Conte’s men.
