New Norwich boss Daniel Farke has returned to former club Borussia Dortmund II to snare defender Christoph Zimmermann.
The 24-year-old has signed a two-year deal, with the option of an extra 12 months, and will arrive at Carrow Road on July 1.
Zimmermann captained Farke’s under-23 side at Dortmund before the German manager was named as Alex Neil’s replacement at the Canaries last month.
Zimmermann told Norwich TV: “I’m extremely delighted and very honoured for the opportunity.
“I’m already counting the days to get started. I’ve had a really positive first impression, so I’m looking forward to meeting all the guys and I cannot wait to start working.”

Farke added: “He’s very big, tall, strong and powerful and he’s an intelligent boy. He was the captain of my under-23 team at Borussia Dortmund, and he fits English football because of his powerful way.
“We’re very happy he’s chosen to come to Norwich.”
