Date published: Saturday 18th July 2009 5:46

The Cobblers trailed 2-0 at the break after goals from former Town frontman Jason Lee and an own-goal by unlucky trialist Chris Willmott.

Fellow-trialist Billy McKay reduced the deficit 18 minutes from time but the League Two side could not find an equaliser.

Town also had former Manchester United and Blackburn defender John Curtis in their side along with Sebastian Harris and Liam Ruddick, who are also looking to earn deals at Sixfields.
