Robbie Keane: Talks Leeds United

The left-back saw red for a foul on Shaun Whalley but he will now be able to face Morecambe on the final day after the Shrimpers’ appeal.

“I’m delighted for Ben,” boss Phil Brown told the club’s official website.

“He’s been ever present since his injury and has hit a standard that I’ve been delighted with.

“For him to be taken out in the circumstances he did from the assistant rather than the referee, I’m pleased the FA have seen sense. After the game the officials pointed out they made a mistake.

“Ben will now be available and in the squad at Morecambe, which is terrific news.”
