Omar Bogle of Wigan celebrates

The 41-year-old had been part of the backroom staff at Bootham Crescent since joining in 2013 when Nigel Worthington was in charge.

But he has now left the club as boss Russ Wilcox shakes up his coaching staff.

A statement on the club’s official website said: “The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Andy for his work over the past two years and wish him well in the future.”

Collett follows several players out of the Bootham Crescent door after the Minstermen announced the release of Wes Fletcher, Ryan Jarvis and Lewis Montrose.
