The governing body’s disciplinary panel lost patience with Croatia because of the crowd trouble which took place during the country’s 5-1 win over Norway on March 28 in Zagreb.
The Croatian federation was also fined 50,000 euros.
UEFA action came following the racist behaviour and the “setting off/throwing of missiles and fireworks” by their fans during the Group H match.
Croatia’s next home match in the group is against Italy on June 12.
The match was already being played in a partially closed stadium following trouble at Croatia’s earlier fixture against Italy in November which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Croatian federation was ordered to close a section comprising of 8,000 seats after their fans twice caused the match at the San Siro stadium to be interrupted by throwing flares on to the pitch.
