Dawber is currently sidelined by a thigh injury and Stanley boss John Coleman last week brought 40-year-old Tony Warner in as cover for Fleetwood loanee Scott Davies.
The League Two club have used eight keepers this season thanks to a succession of loans, but Dawber has not made a single appearance.
The 20-year-old last appeared for the east Lancashire outfit on New Year’s Day 2014.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here but it hasn’t worked out,” Dawber told the club’s official website.
“I will have to look at myself as to why it hasn’t worked out for me and see if I could have done more and why it’s happened.
“I have loved my time at Accrington Stanley, I love my team-mates and I feel sad at leaving but I have to now look to the future.
“I want to thank the fans, my team-mates and everyone who has supported me at Accrington Stanley.”
