8:32: Sheffield Wednesday are reported to have completed a £10m deal for Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes. We await official confirmation….

8:17: Former Manchester United winger Gabriel Obertan has returned to the North-West – to sign a deal with Championship strugglers Wigan. Here he is looking like a man who once had it all….

7:58: Ronald Koeman hinted Arouna Kone could be off before the window shuts – and it seems he was right, with the striker closing on a switch to Crystal Palace.

7.55: One for TEAMtalk’s Bradford City contingent!

7:49: Norwich City have finalised the loan signing of Ajax left-back Mitchell Dijks. The Canaries were hoping to sign him on a permanent deal, but a loan deal has been struck.

5:11: Looks like a matter of time before Odion Ighalo finalises his move from Watford now.

5:04: Charlton have snapped up a youngster from Arsenal on loan.

4:54: Cross him off your list, Hull fans…

4:38: Can Klopp end his January hell tonight?

4:30: That’s what happens when you give Jeffrey Schlupp £56,000 a week…

4:10: Bristol City stick the boot into Rovers after signing “star striker Matt Taylor”…

4:05: They’re doing you a favour, Leonardo…

4pm: With Leeds getting Pedraza and Newcastle more hopeful of re-signing Townsend, where does that leave Mo Barrow? Swansea, presumably…

3:50: Not sure Leeds fans have forgiven the club for the ‘don’t go to bed just yet’ tweet two and a half years ago…

3:40: Some players are enjoying this as much as us…

3:35: Various sources reporting Scott Hogan is edging closer to becoming an Aston Villa player. The Brentford striker has had a medical at Bodymoor Heath and the finishing touches are being applied to deal worth in excess of £10million…

3:30: Some news from one of the big boys. Well, sort of…

3:15: There is almost nothing happening. Aside from Sunderland getting custard pie-d twice..

2:35: Premier League clubs shifting some deadwood…

2:20: Check your Sky Sources…

2:15: Not the one we’re waiting for from Southampton, but they’ve signed a back-up keeper…

2:05: Branislav Ivanovic’s nine years at Chelsea appear to be over…

2pm: Hardly a surprise, but good news for United all the same…

1:55: No Andrew Robertson for Burnley today, but…

13:30: The full story on ‘Golden Genes’ latest transfer.

13:20: Not Madrid, but Wigan for Alex Bruce. Almost the same…

13:15: Fight, fight, fight…

12:30: Last-ditch, indeed…

12:20: It is lunchtime. Get involved…

12:10: Always seemed strange that Hull might be prepared to let Robertson leave…

12:05: Vincent Janssen is indeed going nowhere…

12pm: Fifty-six thousand pounds per week…

11:50: This may mean absolutely nothing but, you know…

11:45: Is that Antoine Griezmann in the boot?

#welcomeGriezmann

11:35: Three league goals in 2017…

11:30: Manchester United legend heading back to England, will undergo a medical at Wigan…

11:22: We have an actual transfer! Plenty more to come from Hull today, you’d think…

11:20: Leeds mean business…

11:15: Bournemouth were linked with a bid for Nathan Ake but the Chelsea defender is with the squad ahead of tonight’s clash with Liverpool…

11:10: This, and Jack Whitehall was on earlier. Anyone would think there’s absolutely nothing happening…

10:55: Moussa Dembele has flown to London, it would seem. Though instead of travelling to hold talks with Chelsea, some sources are reporting the Celtic striker is in the Big Smoke for a scan on a knee injury…

10:50: The authority has spoken…

10:45: As seemed likely over recent days, PSG forward Jese has chosen Gran Canaria over Teesside…

10:35: It wouldn’t be Deadline Day without Emmanuel Adebayor getting involved. He’s joined Turkish outfit Istanbul Basaksehir…

10:30: Mourinho will be pleased…

10:25: Chelsea director Michael Emenalo is in Italy, according to Sky Italia, who claim Torino striker Andrea Belotti is the subject of his interest.

The Blues are also linked with Inter Milan winger Jonathan Biabiany on loan and Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi.

It’s almost as though everyone is guessing…

For all the latest whispers, check out Rumour Mill

Andrea Belotti: Wanted by Man Utd

10:20: Can’t be certain that at least one of these names isn’t made up…

10:15: Palace and Sunderland shopping in the ‘Whoopsie’ aisle…

10:10: A few West Ham fans might disagree with the last part of that statement…

10:00: Jose keeping his powder dry for the summer. Though there may be an exit or two, with Ashley Young the biggest name possibly heading out. The manager said on Sunday that he’d love to keep Young, but the lure of West Brom, Watford or Swansea may be too strong…

9:55: Another line from Leicester…

9:50: Awkward…

9:40: The West Ham starlet had been linked with a loan switch to Nottingham Forest, but…

9:30: Missed the morning papers? We’ve got you covered. Includes an interesting line on which other striker Chelsea might turn to today…

Paper Talk: Arsenal line up £47m raid; Chelsea striker swoop

9:20: #bienvenidoAlexBruce

9:00: Of the big boys, Chelsea could be busiest today. They appeared to have a clear run at Sead Kolasinac after Juventus pulled out yesterday but Schalke appear to be putting up a fight.

Sky Sports are reporting the Blues are interested in Celtic’s Moussa Dembele, but the Hoops won’t consider any offers under £40million.

One player maybe making the trek south from Parkhead might still be goalkeeper Craig Gordon, who was understood to be in two minds over a possible move to Stamford Bridge.

There is expected to be at least one exit from Chelsea today, with Branislav Ivanovic likely to join Zenit St Petersburg.

Cesc Fabregas, though, apparently won’t be joining West Ham. Of course he isn’t…

8:50: Wouldn’t be surprised to see Townsend head back to Tyneside. Not sure being back-up at Watford is what Krul had in mind at this stage in his career, but Ajax are desperate to end his unsuccessful loan spell to get him off the wage bill…

8:40: One done deal to get us started. Three league starts in a season and a half at Boro for this midfielder…

8:30: Good morning, and welcome to Deadline Day. Okay, we can’t lie and tell you it’s going to be the BEST EVER, but there’s still a lot of important business to be done, especially at the wrong end of the table. And there’s usually a surprise or two along the way….
