Jose Mourinho is reportedly allowing Manchester United defender Luke Shaw to leave the club in a cut-price deal.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, the former Southampton man will be permitted to leave Old Trafford so long as his £20million valuation is met.

Newcastle United were interested in a move but have been priced out by the aforementioned fee, meaning the could only offer a loan deal.

However, the report claims they are not alone, with a host of other clubs interested in taking the England man on loan in January.

The 22-year-old is currently down the pecking order under Mourinho, currently playing back-up to current left-back Ashley Young.

The 22-year-old has played just 47 minutes of first-team football so far this season, and has struggled to settle at the club since his £33million arrival from Southampton in 2014, in large part due to a number of injuries.
