Divock Origi: Pleased to score against Barca

Divock Origi will return to Liverpool for treatment after sustaining an injury while on international duty with Belgium.

The striker was preparing for the upcoming friendlies with Portugal and Switzerland but picked up a thigh injury. Origi will be replaced in the Belgium squad by Everton’s Kevin Mirallas.

The extent of the injury is not yet known, but the news will come as a blow to Liverpool and especially manager Jurgen Klopp, who ahead of this week’s friendlies spoke of his hope for his players returning to Anfield fully fit.

It is also reported that fellow Belgian teammate Christian Benteke may be injured and is a doubt for Belgium’s friendly against Portugal.
