The extent of the injury is not yet known, but the news will come as a blow to Liverpool and especially manager Jurgen Klopp, who ahead of this week’s friendlies spoke of his hope for his players returning to Anfield fully fit.
It is also reported that fellow Belgian teammate Christian Benteke may be injured and is a doubt for Belgium’s friendly against Portugal.
