Goalkeeper Paul Gallacher is out with a shoulder injury as Dunfermline seek a first home win of the season.

Midfielder Joe Cardle could start after coming off the bench following a knee problem in the 4-0 loss at Hearts, while defender Paddy Boyle and midfielder Craig Easton are available again following injuries.

Austin McCann, Nick Phinn, Jason Thomson, Kevin Rutkiewicz, Steven Bell and Steven McDougall remain absent.

St Johnstone have three experienced players back.

Captain Jody Morris, top goalscorer Francisco Sandaza and former Scotland left-back Callum Davidson all return from injury and illness.

Frazer Wright and Cillian Sheridan remain out while midfielder David Robertson (concussion) is unlikely to make the game.
