Barcelona are keen on using Arda Turan in their attempts to sign Philippe Coutinho, while Inter Milan are keen on a Chelsea youngster, according to Thursday’s European newspapers.
Barca want to use Turan as make-weight in Coutinho deal
Barcelona want to step up their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho by offering Arda Turan as part of the deal, according to reports.
The Catalan giants are set to lose Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain with reports indicating he will travel to the French capital in the coming days to complete a move.
Liverpool are understood to have rejected a £72million bid from Barca for Coutinho and now Spanish outlet Don Balon claims that the La Liga runners-up want to use Turan in an attempt to sweeten the deal.
It’s not the first time the Turkish international has been linked with the Merseysiders, having admitted previously that the Reds are his “dream team”.
“I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool,”Turan revealed before moving to Atletico in 2011.
“As I always mention, Liverpool attracts me because of their tradition.
“In Europe, I am a Liverpool supporter, so if I go to play in Europe, I would like to play for them.”
Inter ponder swap deal for Chelsea defender
Inter Milan are mulling over a possible swap deal with Chelsea for Antonio Candreva that would involve taking a defender from Stamford Bridge, according to reports.
The Stamford Bridge outfit have reportedly been eyeing a move for Candreva since Antonio Conte became boss and they came close to signing the winger in January.
Tuttosport claims the Blues are interested in landing the Italy international this summer and Inter have demanded €25million by the end of next week if Chelsea want to get their man.
However, a player-plus cash swap deal is also thought to be on the cards with the Serie A side keen on young defender Andreas Christensen.
The Nerazzurri are keen to strengthen their backline with another centre-back as they are likely to lose Jeison Murillo to Valencia.
