Euro Paper Talk: €260m Neymar move underway; Juve problem for Darmian

Real Madrid are closing in on Neymar and Juventus do not want to pay the full asking price for a Man Utd man, according to Wednesday’s European papers.

REAL MADRID MEET UP WITH NEYMAR

Real Madrid have reportedly sent a delegation to Brazil recently to meet up with the injured Neymar.

AS claim Real have met with the PSG forward twice in his homeland in recent weeks as the striker recovers from injury.

The report suggests Brazil forward Neymar is ready to leave Paris St Germain just a year after joining them in a world-record €222million deal from Barcelona.

The source cites boredom in Ligue 1 with the 26-year-old desperate to return to La Liga with Barca’s deadly rivals Real.

Real president Florentino Perez is preparing a deal that worth €260million and will make that offer to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

It’s also reported that Al Khelaifi, sports director Antero Henrique and communication director Jean Martiel Ribes travelled to Rio de Janeiro to speak to Neymar over his future.

PSG apparently will not stand in the player’s way, if his wish is to join Real, despite being just one-year into a five-year deal.

VARANE DESPERATE TO LINK UP WITH MOURINHO AGAIN

Raphael Varane is so keen to link up again with Jose Mourinho that he has personally called the Manchester United boss to push through the move.

That’s according to the latest reports in Spain, which believe Mourinho has a great chance of bringing in the Real Madrid defender this summer.

Mourinho is desperate to strengthen his central defence this summer and efforts to lure Samuel Umtiti look set to fail with the former Lyon man expected to commit to a bumper new deal.

But Varane’s position is more debatable, with Florentino Perez rumoured to be keen on Man City’s John Stones as a replacement.

And with the player wary he could be replaced, Don Balon claim he has personally spoken with Mourinho about a move to the Premier League, claiming he is “seduced” by the idea of playing in England.

A fee of €70m (£61.1million) has been touted.
