Liverpool look like missing out on a Borussia Dortmund target and a Turkish star, while Tottenham are hoping to offload a misfit, all in Tuesday’s European press.
INTER SET TO BEAT LIVERPOOL TO MOR
Inter are reportedly close to landing Borussia Dortmund star Emre Mor, who has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp had been hoping to land the 20-year-old attacker, while Everton were also said to be in the running for his signaature.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Mor is set to join Inter on a two-year deal for a fee that could eventually rise to €15million.
Mor was looking for a summer move after only playing five Bundesliga games last season, while his arrival at the San Siro could speed up Ivan Perisic’s exit, with Manchester United still keen on signing the Croatian star.
SERIE A GIANT ENTERS RACE FOR MAHREZ
Inter Milan have reportedly joined the race for Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez.
The Algeria star is keen to quit the Foxes this summer, with Roma and Arsenal said to be at the front on the queue for his services.
Mahrez is being lined up by the Gunners as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez should, as expected, the Chile star move on.
But Roma have been the most active in trying to land the 26-year-old, having already had bids rejected for the player.
However, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter are now in the running and director of football Walter Sabatini is reported to have made contact with an intermediary of Leicester about a move.
LIVERPOOL DASHED IN PURSUIT OF TURKISH HOTSHOT
Liverpool have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race for Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici and are confident of landing the player.
But Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta has this evening made it clear that he believes Yazici will not be leaving this summer.
“This season will determine his future,” Usta was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“We want him to stay for our 50th anniversary season. I am aware there is a lot of interest and he will play at the best clubs in the world but he is staying put this summer.”
The Reds are said to have been impressed with Yazici’s development in Turkey and are keen to bring the 21-year-old to the Premier League.
The 20-year-old was directly involved in 16 goals in 22 games last season – six goals and 10 assists, and is valued at around £12million.
