Juventus are eyeing a move for a top Premier League goalkeeper, while Manchester United have opened talks for a Valencia man, according to Thursday’s European papers.
SERIE A GIANTS EYE CHELSEA STAR
According to a report from Belgium, Juventus are looking to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The 25-year-old has reportedly requested a salary amounting to a €12million/year annual salary for him to renew with at Stamford Bridge.
Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws claim that the Serie A giants are weighing up the chance to try a swoop for the former Atletico Madrid stopper.
They are not alone however, as the report states that theBlues star is still tracked by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid as well.
FLORENTINO PEREZ EYES LUKA MODRIC REPLACEMENT
Real Madrid are keen on making Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot the long-term replacement for Luka Modric, according Don Balon.
With the Croation already 32, Real have already begun their search for a talented player to fill the void once Modric gets too old, and Florentino Perez feels that Rabiot would be the perfect replacement.
Rabiot has been impressive for PSG so far this season, but has spoken openly in the past about the possibility of leaving the club, which would be a boost to Real.
With Real ready to spend big in the summer to ensure they don’t endure a dissapointing start to the season, as they have so far this year, a deal for Rabiot could be high on the list for Perez.
MANCHESTER UNITED OPEN TALKS OVER CARLOS SOLER
Reports in Spain claim Manchester United have opened talks with Carlos Soler.
The Valencia player has emerged as one of the best creative talents in La Liga and Don Balon claim Jose Mourinho has made the player one of his top targets for next summer.
The report claims United had hoped Los Che would accept their £45million offer for the 20-year-old in the January window, but Valencia’s somewhat surprise involvement in the La Liga title race will signal the end of their chances of striking a deal in the winter.
However, United are so desperate to land their man that it’s claimed the club will trigger his €80million (£71million) exit clause in the summer.
Furthermore, it’s claimed talks have already begun between United and the player’s representatives over the transfer.
Soler has one goal and four assists from 11 La Liga starts this season.
