Euro Paper Talk: PL trio aim to hijack Jorginho; Liverpool keeper target offered two-year deal

It seems Jorginho’s proposed move to Man City is not yet wrapped up amid other interest, while Roma are lining up a replacement for Alisson, all in the Euro papers.

JORGINHO AGENT REVEALS COMPETITION

Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all are reportedly trying to hijack Manchester City’s transfer of Napoli midfielder Jorginho.

The Italy midfielder is close to completing a move to Manchester City with his preference apparently being to join the Premier League champions.

His agent claimed yesterday that a move to The Etihad was a distinct possibility.

“Jorginho is still under contract, but if Napoli find an agreement with City then he goes to Manchester,” Joao Santos told CalcioNapoli24.

However, the agent has today also admitted other Premier League clubs have been in contact with him over a move for the £50million rated player.

Speaking on Radio CRC on Friday, Santos denied reports that other Serie A clubs had been in contact with him, but revealed that he has spoken to other English teams.

Santos said: “I am in Brazil. No one has called me from Italy. But I’ve been called by Liverpool, Manchester City, also Arsenal and Chelsea.”

City look the obvious favourites to get the deal done and Pep Guardiola said this week that finding a replacement for Yaya Toure was his priority this summer, but Liverpool could yet scupper the deal, while Chelsea and Arsenal have registered an interest.
