Liverpool are battling Real Madrid for an Atletico Madrid defender, while Marseille are reportedly ready to bid £85m to land three Premier League stars, according to Friday’s European papers.
MARSEILLE TARGET PREMIER LEAGUE STARS
French giants Marseille are reportedly ready to shell out £85m to land three Premier-League based French stars this summer.
L’Equipe states that Marseille are preparing bids for Arsenal duo Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud, as well as Tottenham flop Moussa Sissoko.
Some Gunners fans may be disappointed regarding the potential loss of Koscielny but few will probably weep at the thought of losing Giroud, who has flattered to deceive during his time at The Emirates.
As for Sissoko, there can be little argument that he has been on the worst signings of the season, having joined Spurs for a whopping £30m last summer.
The 27-year-old has made just 13 Premier League appearances this season and could leave for half of what Spurs paid for him.
DEULOFEU HEADING BACK TO BARCELONA
AC Milan’s attempts to sign on-loan Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu on a permanent deal look to be over, with reports claiming he will return to Barcelona.
Having initially joined Everton on loan, the 23-year-old then moved to Goodison Park on a permanent deal in the summer of 2015 for just over £4m.
However, inserted into that deal was the possibility for Barca to buy back the player after two years, and now it would seem this will happen for a fee of around £10m, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Calciomercato)
The news will come as a big blow for the Rossoneri, who had hoped to snap up Deulofeu after his improving displays since arriving on loan from the Toffees in January.
