Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd eye Everton striker; Liverpool want £70m Lazio star

Manchester United are being tipped to make a surprise move on Everton this January, while Liverpool are plotting a move for a £70million replacement for Emre Can, according to Monday’s European papers.

MAN UTD TIPPED TO MAKE SHOCK JANUARY MOVE FOR EVERTON STRIKER

Manchester United are being tipped to make a surprise January raid on Everton for striker Henry Onyekuru.

The Nigeria striker joined the Toffees over the summer from KAS Eupen, but was sent back to Belgium on loan with Anderlecht after Everton failed to land a work permit for the striker.

Since returning to the Belgian leagues, however, Onyekuru has been in brilliant form and has been watched a number of times by both United and Barcelona, according to claims in the Belgium media.

Now both ESPN and Het Laatste Nieuws claim the striker will be the subject of a January enquiry from Manchester United, who want to cash in on the uncertainty surrounding his future by making a firm move.

Everton are understandably wanting to bring the striker back to Goodison, but United’s interest could yet spark a surprise January move for Onyekuru, who has already struck eight times this season.

LAZIO MAN LINKED WITH LIVERPOOL

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: Linked with man United move

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to replace Emre Can.

Tuttosport, the same publication he claim Can has agreed terms on a move to Juventus next summer, report that Liverpool have joined the race for the highly-rated 22-year-old.

Milinkovic-Savic has been repeatedly linked with Juventus, although Liverpool are now expected to join the race for his signature.

Milinkovic-Savic, who is under contract until 2022, has scored four goals and claimed two assists this season and Lazio have reportedly put a price tag of €70million on his head.

PSG PLOT SWOOP FOR NICE STAR AS DRAXLER NEARS EXIT

Paris-Saint Germain are willing to loan out Julian Draxler in the January transfer window – if they land one of two top targets, according to reports.

According to Le Parisien, PSG have made contact with Nice over a deal for highly-sought-after midfielder Jean Michel Seri, while the Ligue 1 big spenders are also the new favourites for Alexis Sanchez.

Ivory Coast midfielder was a summer target for Barcelona and Liverpool, with a move to the Nou Camp falling through late on when Nice changed their mind over his sale.

However, with the player continuing to impress, they know they can’t keep him from the big boys forever, and it’s claimed a January move to Paris is in the offing.

Calciomercato, meanwhile, claims PSG are the new favourites ahead of Man City to land Sanchez after contacting his agent and making it clear they will meet his £350,000 a week wage demands.

However, any deal for either would increase the scrutiny on PSG’s spending, with the club already forced to sell off a number of players due to Financial Fair Play. As such, reports claim Draxler will definitely make way – with a move to either Arsenal or Liverpool, most likely.

The duo have been in contact over a deal for the player before, but the player looks set to leave if either sign – and it’s believed he will move to either Anfield or the Emirates on loan with a view to a permanent £50million deal.

Calciomercato also reckon Juventus remain keen on the player, having sent scouts to check on him twice in recent weeks.
