A Manchester United star has been cleared to talk with Barcelona, while one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets is also wanted by Juventus, according to Wednesday’s European papers.
BARCELONA FREE TO TALK TO UNITED DEFENDER
Jose Mourinho has given Daley Blind permission to hold talks over a move to Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo claim the versatile Dutch star is being considered by Barcelona boss Ernesto Valderve as he bids to reinforce his defence this month.
The club had looked likely to sign Palmerias star Yerry Mina, but the La Liga club are struggling to get the deal done with the Brazilians holding out for more money.
Barca are said to have offered €9million – but the Sao Paulo club are said to be looking for nearer the €15million mark.
As such, it’s believed the club are considering alternatives and Blind – who has fallen out of favour under Mourinho this season – has been told he can leave the club for the right price.
It’s believed United are also seeking around €15million for their player – but given his experience in the European game, Barcelona are more willing to meet United’s demands and it’s suggested a deal could soon be struck.
REAL MADRID BEAT MAN UTD TO SIGN STAR DUO
Real Madrid are on the brink of announcing a double £297million deal that will see both Harry Kane and Eden Hazard swap London for the Bernabeu next season, according to fanciful reports in Spain.
Hot on the heels of Barcelona plundering the Premier League for Philippe Coutinho, Don Balon claims Real Madrid will react to their rivals’ outlay by raiding England for two more of its best players in Kane and Hazard.
While it seems hard to fathom that a deal for both players will be announced so soon, the Spanish outlet claims Real will shortly confirm they have agreed transfers for both players – that’s in spite of interest in the duo from Manchester United.
It’s claimed Hazard will cost Real £120million – which is close to matching what Barca spent on Coutinho – while Kane will cost a whopping £177million, to make the Tottenham man the world’s second-most expensive player behind Neymar.
The report goes on to add that Real will look to help finance part of the huge outlays by allowing Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale to all leave the club this summer.
Talk of a deal for Hazard appears to have been backed up by reports in the French media, with Radio Monte Carlo claiming Florentino Perez has long been in talks with the entourage of Belgian superstar.
