Jurgen Klopp: Puzzled by continued Moreno criticism

Chelsea have been handed a boost in their pursuit of a full-back, while Milan and Inter are competing for a Liverpool defender, according to Wednesday’s European papers.

Derby della Moreno

They may meet in the Derby della Madonnina on Saturday, but Milan and Inter are already going head-to-head for Alberto Moreno.

The defender has seen his opportunities limited and is believed to be open to an exit, but would prefer a return to Spain.

This is according to a report from the Daily Mail, who state the Serie A pair are part of a list of teams to have made initial contact over the 24-year-old’s availability.

Liverpool are hoping for a fee in excess of the £12million for the former Sevilla man due to his age and experience.

The Reds are believed to be eyeing Leicester’s Ben Chilwell and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon as possible options for the LB role.

They have also reportedly slapped a £30million price tag on Mamadou Sakho, currently impressing on loan at Crystal Palace.

Faouzi Ghoulam: Linked with Prem move

Chelsea target Faouzi Ghoulam looks to be on his way out of Napoli, according to the latest reports.

Sport Mediaset write (via Le10Sport) that the 26-year-old’s contract talks with Napoli have stalled, meaning a departure is now looking more likely.

The former Saint-Etienne defender is in high demand, with Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich all reportedly interested.

Mediaset believe that his departure is almost a certainty, with Ghoulam himself apparently desiring a new adventure.

“We’ll talk about his contract renewal at the right moment,” his agent recently confirmed.

“The player is focussed on the end of the season with his club.”

Inter Milan have also apparently recently joined the race for the star, as they’re unwilling to pay Ricardo Rodriguez’s €22million release clause.
