Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd, Chelsea target offered bumper Roma deal

Roma are looking to hand a Manchester United and Chelsea target a deal for life, while Mauricio Pocehttino has dreamed of signing a Juventus attacker, according to Friday’s European papers.

ROMA DESPERATE TO KEEP MAN UTD, CHELSEA TARGET

Roma are looking to fend off interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona in versatile midfielder Alessandro Florenzi by offering him a deal for life.

Sporting director Monchi is said to have made negotiating a new deal for the 26-year-old, who can play in central midfield or at full-back, one of his top priorities before the summer transfer window opens.

The Giallorossi are currently having to make sure that they comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and must do that before they can then offer Florenzi a €3million-a-season contract, which would make him one of Roma’s highest paid players.

The player’s curent deal runs out in the summer of 2019 and that has alerted the likes of United, Chelsea and Barca to the possibility of landing Florenzi relatively cheaply.

However, Corriere dello Sport states that Monchi is well aware of interest in the player and that Flrenzi himself would favour remaining in Rome rather than moving on.
