Barcelona will have €100million to spend and Hector Bellerin and Philippe Coutinho are on their wanted list, while Zinedine Zidane could lose his job at Real Madrid, all in the European papers.
ZIDANE JOB IN DOUBT AT REAL
Real Madrid could part company with Zinedine Zidane at the end of the season, according to amazing claims from Italy.
Sky Sports Italia journalist Alessandro Alciato claims that “something has broken” between Real Madrid and Zidane and that his Real Madrid job could be under scrutiny.
Calciomercato suggest Alciato “is one of Italy’s most reliable journalists” and a key figure with the broadcaster.
Previous reports from Spain have suggested the Frenchamn ould leave the Bernabeu in the summer if he fails to win a trophy. Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino and Joaquin Low have been linked with a possible move to the Spanish capital.
Zidane replaced Rafa Benitez as Real manager in January 2016 and manged to win the Champions League, but were beaten to the Primera Liga title by Barcelona.
This season they are level with Barca at the top of La Liga, although they have a game in hand and they face Atletico in the semi-final of the Champions League.
BARCA WANT NEW QUARTET
Despite not having a manager in place for next season, Barcelona’s hierarchy have targeted four new signings for next season, according to AS.
Barcelona will have reported €100million to spend and the quartet they have on their shopping list are Hector Bellerin, Theo Hernandez, Marco Verratti and Philippe Coutinho.
With Arsenal man Bellerin rated at around €30m, Hernadez having a €24m release clause and both Verratti and Liverpool playmaker Coutinho both worth in excess of €50m then Barca will be well short.
That means they will have to sell to bolster their transfer kitty and Arda Turan and Jeremy Mathieu have been tipped to be the first players sold.
