Tottenham are set to rival Manchester United for a Serie A striker and Barcelona are at the head of the queue for Marco Verratti, according to Wednesday’s European papers.
Barca set to accept Arda bid
Barcelona are willing to accept Arsenal’s £25million bid for Arda Turan according to reports in Turkey.
CNN Turk claim that Barcelona will accept the Arsenal bid as they look to overhaul their squad in the summer.
Due to Financial Fair play constraints, Barcelona are keen to accept the bid on order to raise funds to make additional transfers.
The link to Arsenal was denied last month by Eren Sarigul of Turkish-Football who was writing an article for ESPN FC.
“There is currently no offer, there is nothing to speak of right now,” Bulut told ESPN FC.
“I have not been contacted by Arsenal. As I said before, he is happy at Barcelona and has three years left on his contract.”
Roma to offer exit to Man City winger
AS Roma have reportedly become surprise suitors for Manchester City winger Jesus Navas this summer.
Roma has reportedly offered the midfielder Navas a three-year deal to head to the Italian capital, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The 31-year-old is out of contract in the summer has become a priority target for the Giallorossi, the report claims.
This comes after recent reports that Navas is expected to rejoin Sevilla when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The right winger joined the Citizens from Sevilla back in 2013 for £15.9million but has struggled to adapt to Premier League football.
Discussing a possible move for their former player, Sevilla president Jose Castro admitted the winger could return to the club in the summer.
“Jesus Navas could be one of the players the club work on. He’s out of contract [in the summer] and has given his life to this club,” Castro told a news conference.
“We’re working on many players and of course he could be an option, but we don’t want to divert attention away from the present.”
Napoli in for Arsenal ‘keeper
According to Radio Crc, Napoli are interested in signing on-loan Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny this summer.
The 27-year-old Polish international arrived from Arsenal in 2015 and is coming to the end of his second season with the Italian capital club.
Reports suggest that the Gunners want him back in North London next season with Roma unable to convince them to let him stay on a permanent deal.
Napoli however are somewhat more optimistic, believing they can tempt him to the Stadio San Paolo.
The Partenopei are ready to present an offer of around €16million to the Premier League side this summer to try and swoop the ‘keeper from their Serie A rivals.
