Briggs also suggests that Hodgson’s rigid 4-4-2 system is ineffective at international level and McCarthy concludes that England’s options are limited and Clement agrees the pool of capable players available to England is small.
The trio also look at the two semi-finals between Spain and Portugal and Germany and Italy and they all agree that Spain v Germany looks like being the likely final next Sunday.
The trio are split on the tournament winners though, with Clement going for Spain and McCarthy and Briggs plumping for Germany.
