Liverpool will play Jurgen Klopp’s former club Borussia Dormund in the Europa League quarter-finals after Friday’s draw in Nyon was made.
After Liverpool’s 3-1 aggregate win over Manchester United the German boss claimed he would love to draw his former club, but only in the final.
He said: “I have contacts with my Dortmund friends, they all would like to play against us – but in Basle (in the final).”

Tournament favourites Dortmund meanwhile defeated Tottenham 5-1 on aggregate to progress.
Klopp left Dortmund in July 2015, having taken the Bundesliga side to the 2013 Champions League final at Wembley.
The other ties see Braga of Portugal play Shakhtar Donetsk and Villarreal meet Sparta Prague while there will be an all-Spanish clash between Athletic Bilbao and holders Sevilla, who are chasing a third straight tournament success.
The quarter-finals will be played on the nights of 7 and 14 April.
