Everton and West Brom keen on Leeds United teenager

Everton and West Brom are interested in Leeds United’s talented youngster Mallik Wilks, according to a report.

The 18-year-old is currently on loan with League Two side Accrington Stanley and has scored five goals in 20 games this season.

The Daily Mail report that Everton are showing a “keen interest” in the player, while West Brom have “scouted Wilks extensively”.

Wilks, who will be 19 tomorrow, has joined Stanley on loan until January 3, but Stanley will do well to keep hold of the forward, who will be keen to test himself at a higher level.

“I’m here to play games, score goals and fight for promotion,” said Wilks in August.

“I’ve been at Leeds since I was 15, this is my first loan spell and I’m excited to get going and make that step up to senior league football.”
