Fulham forward Moussa Dembele is poised to sign a new long-term deal at the club, sources have told TEAMtalk.com.
Dembele has been one of Fulham’s star performers this season with eight goals in all competitions this term, including two in the 4-1 win over Bristol City at the weekend.
Fulham boss Kit Symons revealed after the win at Bristol City that talks over a new deal with Dembele were ongoing.
“Moussa is a player we will work on to improve,” said Symons.
“Talks over a new contract are in progress and we want him to sign. I am very hopeful it will happen.
“He is at the right club to develop his game because we have some good people to offer him guidance.”
A number of Premier League clubs, including Everton have been keeping tabs on Dembele’s progress, but Fulham are determined to keep the 19-year-old at Craven Cottage.
Fulham have been locked in talks with Dembele and his representatives for some time with his currennt deal due to expire at the end of this season.
It seems talks have progressed well and Dembele has verbally agreed to sign the four-year contract extension on offer from Fulham.
Securing Dembele’s long-term future will come as a major boost to Fulham as they look to mount a bid for promotion back to the Premier League this season.
