EXCLUSIVE: Burnley win race to sign £6m Bristol City star

Premier League Burnley have won the race to land Bristol City ace Joe Bryan, TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal.

A number of top flight sides have been watching the talented left-sided defender, but Burnley have already made their move.

It is understood the Clarets will pay in excess of £6million for the 24-year-old, who has come through the youth ranks at Ashton Gate.

Bryan’s expected arrival could signal the end of Charlie Taylor’s time at Turf Moor, with the former Leeds star having struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular under Sean Dyche.

The 24-year-old arrived from Elland Road last summer but made only 11 Premier League this season and could be allowed to leave on loan for regular game time.

His performances while at Burnley have not yielded the best results, with the player yet to taste victory in his Premier League outings to date.

As for the Robins, they are already looking at possible replacements and we can reveal their top target is Southampton’s Sam McQueen.

The 23-year-old has been told he can leave St Mary’s this summer if the right offer comes in and Lee Johnson is keen to swoop, once Bryan’s departure is confirmed.
