Derby County are poised to sign Blackburn Rovers defender Marcus Olsson, sources have told TEAMtalk.com.
Derby have been searching for a new left-back during this month’s transfer window to replace long-term injury victim Craig Forsyth and they have identified Olsson as their top target.
Olsson’s future at Blackburn has been the subject of speculation for some time with the full-back out of contract at the end of the season and a new deal being turned down by the Swede
Blackburn have reluctantly agreed to sell Olsson this month rather than see him run down his contract at Ewood Park and leave for nothing in the summer.
Olsson has made over 100 appearances for Blackburn since his arrival in 2012 from Halmstads, but he is set to leave to become Derby’s latest signing of this month’s transfer window as the Rams looks to build a side capable of winning promotion to the Premier League.
