A number of Premier League and Championship clubs are monitoring Blackburn Rovers youngster Hyuga Tanner, sources have told TEAMtalk.com.
Skilful midfielder Tanner, 18, has spent the last four years at Blackburn after arriving from Australia as a 14-year-old.
The Australian youth international has yet to make his first-team debut for Blackburn, but he has risen through the ranks at the club
Tanner has been a regular in the club’s under-21s side for the last two seasons and after battling back from a shoulder injury this season the midfielder is thought to be keen on playing on a regular basis in the future.
Tanner’s current deal at Blackburn expires this summer and no new contract has been agreed as yet at the Lancashire club.
The news has alerted several Premier League and Championship clubs to Tanner’s possible availability on a free transfer this summer.
Tanner’s form has also alerted England scouts with the country’s Under-19s keeping tabs on his progress as they consider trying to persuade the midfielder switching his international allegiance from Australia to England.
