Middlesbrough are ready to sell Adama Traore, with French side Lille set to meet their asking price, TEAMtalk understands.
Boro want €15milllion (just over £13million) for the Spanish-born winger, who has largely flattered to deceive since joining from Aston Villa last summer.
The 21-year-old is now ready to be sold by Boro, with Lille pushing ahead with a new offer after having their initial bid of just under £10million turned down last week. TEAMTalk also understands that Ligue One champions Monaco have asked about Traore.
Traore was not involved at the weekend as Boro were held to a goalless draw by Preston.
Boro, who have not enjoyed a great start to the Championship season despite beginning the campaign as favourites, are looking to bring in another three or even four players by Thursday’s transfer deadline.
One of those is Brentford midfielder Jota – although Premier League interest could scupper their move for him, but Garry Monk remains keen on the Spaniard.
They are also waiting to here if they have been successful in their loan bid for Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, who has offers from rival Championship clubs and also two Bundesliga clubs.
