Former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Lucien Favre has emerged as a target for a number of Premier League clubs this summer, sources have told TEAMtalk.com.
Favre is currently out of work after leaving Monchengladbach last September following a disappointing start to the season.
The highly-rated Swiss coach took the decision to resign as Monchengladbach chief after losing the first five Bundesliga games of the season, despite the club wanting him to stay on.
Favre is highly-regarded in coaching circles across Europe after initially saving Monchengladbach from relegation when he took over in February 2011 and then leading the club to a third-place finish last season and a spot in the Champions League.
The 58-year-old, who was linked with Swansea City following the departure of Garry Monk, has had offers from other clubs to take charge since leaving Monchengladbach, but the former Switzerland international has opted to take a sabattical before returning to work this summer.
Favre is thought to be interested in working in the Premier League with his reputation for innovative attacking style of football making him an attractive proposition to suitors.
The news that Favre is considering a return to management has alerted several Premier League sides who could all be looking for new managers at the end of the season.
