Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland and Leicester City duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are all must picks for any Fantasy Football fanatics.

The Premier League season is now 12 games old and the top Fantasy Football picks have started to become clear.

A two-week international break is the perfect opportunity to assess your team and decide who you’d like to keep and which players you’re ready to drop.

Using their extensive database of statistics, Fantasy Football game Oulala have crunched the numbers to reveal the best performing Premier League players so far this season.

Here, Oulala highlight three players that simply must be in your Fantasy Football team after the opening 12 games.

Jack Butland

The Stoke City goalkeeper is currently ranked the best keeper in Europe and the third best player in the Premier League.

The in-form 22-year-old has been turning out some excellent performances this season, most notably in Stoke’s recent 1-0 win over Chelsea. Butland pulled off three saves, one claim and one punch to keep out the current Premier League champions at the Britannia Stadium.

It was Butland’s and Stoke’s fourth clean sheet in their last five games, a run that has seen the keeper tipped to seriously challenge Joe Hart for the England number one jersey.

Butland has made a total of 40 saves, 44 claims (at a success-rate of 98 per cent) and five punches this season, while his distribution accuracy sits at a reasonable 55 per cent.

Jamie Vardy

The Leicester City striker is ranked the second best forward in Europe, behind Barcelona’s Neymar, and the Premier League’s second best player behind team-mate Riyad Mahrez.

Vardy’s performances have earned the striker recent inclusions in the England team.

With 12 goals from his opening 12 games, five more than his closest challengers, and on a record-breaking run of scoring in nine consecutive games in the same campaign, Vardy is in the form of his life.

The 28-year-old has shown there is much more to his game than simply goals, too. The stats show that Vardy has provided 14 key passes and one assist, while he has also won 39 aerial duels, 15 tackles, eight interceptions and four clearances.

Riyad Mahrez

Leicester City boast both the top two best performing Premier League players this season. Riyad Mahrez is rated the second best performer in Europe behind only Neymar.

It is no surprise that clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal have been widely linked with the Algerian.

Mahrez’s stats this season are incredible. The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and assisted a further five. He has completed the most take-ons in the Premier League with 39 and has provided 19 key passes for teammates. He has also registered a pass completion of 73 per cent.
