Marouane Fellaini: Has hit out at Jamie Carragher

Marouane Fellaini has labelled Sky pundit Jamie Carragher “the champion of blah-blah and the world champion of breaking legs” after watching YouTube clips of the former Liverpool defender.

Carragher has been an outspoken critic of the Manchester United midfield man, writing last year that he hoped never to see him play Premier League football again.

When Belgian magazine Sport/Foot asked him about the former Reds star he said, in quotes translated by SportWitness: “If I am violent and aggressive, what was Carragher? He is the champion of blah-blah and the world champion of breaking legs. If you type his name into YouTube you’ll only see him tackling.”

This is what Carragher wrote in the Daily Mail last year after Fellaini received a three-match ban for an elbow on Leicester defender Robert Huth: “My personal hope is that we would never see him playing in the Premier League again.

“Three games is not a sentence that will prove a deterrent to Fellaini. He is a repeat offender and it has gone beyond the point now where people can attempt to defend him by saying he is a tall lad who is using his arms for leverage.”
