Antoine Griezmann: Batman star

Manchester United strike target Antoine Griezmann will be the voice of Batman in French version of  the new film.

Griezmann, who is believed to be Jose Mourinho’s no 1 strike target, will be the voice of the caped crusader in the animated new film The Lego Batman movie.

Magic Mike actor Channing Tatum voices Clark Kent’s alter ego in the original English language version, which will be released on February 9.

The film is directed by Chris Kay and was commissioned after the huge success of The Lego Movie , which grossed $469million at the box office.

In the movie, Batman has to save Gotham from evil villain The Joker, all with the help of some of his Lego friends – including Griezmann’s Superman!

Griezmann revealed the news in a video on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

“Happy to be lending my voice to Superman in The Lego Batman Movie,” said the France forward.

The Atletico Madrid star’s brother Theo has fuelled rumours of a move to United.

His sibling this week posted a picture of Old Trafford on social media without comment, and followed up with a tweet insisting he is “just a United fan”, which has now been deleted.

Griezmann is reported to be one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets, and has been linked with an £80million move to the Red Devils.

Reports a few days ago claimed the France international already has a number and salary agreed at United ahead of a possible move in the summer.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has insisted that Griezmann will remain at the Spanish club for a “long time”. While, Atletico coach Diego Simeone suggested this week that he would let Griezmann depart if he asked to leave the club.

“There are many offers,’ Cerezo said. “I don’t know what will come of Manchester United’s interest. What I can say though is that Griezmann will be an Atletico player for a long time.”

“He [Griezmann] is in an extraordinary moment. He is working well, he has got back on the scoresheet. He is currently in great form and it’s normal that the top clubs in the world want him. I’m not surprised that those that can afford him are seeking him.”
