Four clubs make bids for reported City, United target Lozano

Hirving Lozano: Wants move to 'important' Man Utd

Reported Manchester City and Manchester United target Hirving Lozano is the subject of bids from four teams, according to the player’s agent.

City were reported by Sky Sports on Monday to be in running to sign the Mexico winger, with sources claiming a deal was ‘close’.

United, meanwhile, were linked with the Pachuca star last summer, and the player’s father in law even stated that the move to Old Trafford was “done”.

That transfer never materialised though, with the player going on to enjoy an impressive season in Mexico where he scored 18 goals and assisted a further seven in 30 appearances.

The 21-year-old stated in April that the club he would “like most” to join is United, while his agent has now revealed that four clubs have made bids for his services.

“At this moment, I can only say that Benfica is a possibility for Lozano,” Andres Fassi told Portuguese publication Record.

“We have an offer from Benfica, but there are others from PSV, Celta and Real Sociedad.

Hirving Lozano: Man Utd move talk played down

“I can tell you that the offer from Benfica is not the highest but the player will also have a say in this. It’s certain that he’ll go to Europe this summer. We also have offers from Mexico, but Lozano feels as though he is at a level to make the leap to a more competitive league.”
