Gillingham v Rochdale preview

admin

Gillingham boss Justin Edinburgh will wait on the fitness of Joe Martin and Danny Galbraith ahead of the home clash with Rochdale.

The pair have been suffering with hamstring injuries and could come into contention as the Gills look to build on Tuesday night’s last-gasp 2-2 draw with high-flying Preston.

Luke Norris shook off a stomach injury and was sent on for the final 20 minutes and may have to make do with a spot on the bench again if Edinburgh decides to name an unchanged line-up.

Josh Pritchard came on and grabbed an assist and he will hope to have done enough to earn a start.

Rochdale have no major new injury or suspension problems as they look to rekindle their fading play-off hopes.

Boss Keith Hill made just one change for the midweek home defeat to Swindon, with striker Joe Bunney replacing midfielder Joel Logan in the starting line-up.

Defenders Ollie Lancashire (ankle) and Scott Tanser (calf), plus midfielder Matty Lund (shoulder) are pushing for recalls to the squad.

Dale are seven points adrift of sixth-placed Chesterfield with four games left to play.
