Goode move for Scunthorpe

The 19-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year contract, with the option of a third, at Glanford Park and arrives from Ryman League Premier Division Hendon.

The England C international told the club’s Twitter feed: “I’m very excited. Coming from non-league is a big jump, but I’m delighted to join.

“It’ll be a good experience and hopefully this move will take me a long way.

“My good season last season has brought me here and we narrowly missed out on promotion at Hendon.

“The league is going to be a massive step-up for me. I’ve got to work hard and try and earn my place here. I’m not expecting to walk in, but I’m going to work hard and do the best that I can to do that.”

Goode becomes recruit number five of the summer for Iron boss Mark Robins following the signings of Stephen Dawson, Jack King, Scott Wiseman and Isaac Assenso.
