Antoine Griezmann has told international team-mate Paul Pogba that he wants to play in the Premier League with Manchester United his likely destination, according to reports.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Red Devils for several months and reports have even claimed that a deal has been agreed with the Atletico Madrid striker.

Don Balon claims that Pogba and Griezmann speak regularly with the Atletico star confessing that he is likely to move to United due to their relationship.

With Pogba arriving at Old Trafford last summer for £89million, the United hierarchy could be looking to complete another high-profile deal.

The release clause in the 25-year-old’s contract at the La Liga club is thought to be £85million and will have to be triggered if a deal is to be done.

In November, Griezmann admitted to wanting to play alongside Pogba at club level, he told Sky in Germany: “I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United. I think they are a huge club with a really good infrastructure.

“I ask Paul about some of the players, and if they’re really that good, or if Jose Mourinho is really that good.

“You hear a lot of things [speculation] about Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but right now I don’t see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day.”
