Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann could still reportedly consider an offer to join Manchester United this summer.
The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the start of the summer and a potential twist at Atletico could tempt him to quit for the Premier League.
A report in Don Balon claims that the 26-year-old would be willing to join United if Atletico decided to sell goalkeeper Jan Oblak to PSG.
The Slovenian stopper, himself a target for United when David De Gea’s future was unclear, is being tipped to move to the big-spending French giants and Griezmann believes that would show a lack of ambition on Atletico’s part and would tempt him to quit.
The forward had previously stated that there was a ‘six out of 10’ chance that he would be playing in England this season while he also felt that he would be letting Atletico down by leaving now, given their current transfer ban.
However, Oblak’s potential exit could then spark a bidding war for Griezmann, who has also been a major target for Barcelona in the past and would be even more so now after Neymar’s exit.
If the reports from Spain have any substance then Jose Mourinho will certainly be on alert, having missed out on a potential move for Gareth Bale while Ivan Perisic’s switch from Inter Milan is showing no signs of moving any close.
