Marko Grujic (2nd r): Linked with Liverpool move

Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic has denied reports that his move to Liverpool has been agreed, saying nothing has been finalised yet.

The Serbian midfielder has long been linked with a move to Anfield, with reports on Monday suggesting the club had tied up a £5million move for the 19-year-old.

Many outlets, including the Liverpool Echo, have reported that Grujic is on the verge of becoming Klopp’s first signing.

In an interview with Serbian outlet Mondo however, Grujic has dismissed such claims.

“I find it strange that foreign media convey information that it’s already completed and I was set for medical examinations,” Grujic said. “The only truth is that I am on vacation.

“I read in the paper that I had signed and it’s all finalised. That’s interesting… because even I did not know.

“I’m not ruling out the possibility that it happens, but I’m not saying if I’m on the brink of signing.”
