The Accies left-back will return to action for the first time since May 2 for the visit of relegated St Mirren for a final bow before he departs for West Ham.

“It will be an emotional day for me,” Hendrie said. “I have been here since I was 12 and leaving the boys is going to be hard for me. It will be a sad day, I can tell you that.”

Winger Nigel Hasselbaink has already left the Lanarkshire club after going on international duty with Surinam.

Michael Devlin, Danny Redmond and Ziggy Gordon remain out with knee problems along with long-term absentee Andy Ryan, who has a groin injury.

Alan Gow has been ruled out for St Mirren who will have Gary Teale in charge for the last time after Ian Murray was confirmed as their new boss on Friday.

The Buddies forward suffered concussion in the 2-1 win over Motherwell last week and has been sidelined by the club doctor.

Goalkeeper Mark Ridgers is out again with a knee injury while midfielder John McGinn, who injured his thigh in a freak training ground incident last month, is still missing.
