Hartlepool set for new owners

Chairman Ken Hodcroft has stepped down with immediate effect and IOR, who bought the club in 1997, will relinquish control of the club.

A sale had been agreed in December to TMH2014 Limited but it was announced in February the deal had fallen through, leaving IOR in charge until the end of the season.

A statement on the club’s official website said: “IOR believe this will be in the best interests for taking the club forward into hopefully some exciting years ahead.

“A further more detailed statement will be made on Monday 22nd June.”

Manager Ronnie Moore oversaw a dramatic escape from relegation at the Sky Bet League Two side last season and the club are now seemingly set to kick-off the 2015/16 campaign with new owners at the helm.
