Hazard: I need Rudiger to play like this every game, then I’ll stay

Eden Hazard joked that he would definitely stay at Chelsea if Antonio Rudiger produced his man-of-the-match performance in the FA Cup final in every game.

The Belgium international scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot as the Blues beat Manchester United 1-0 at Wembley to end the season with silverware.

Rudiger was fantastic in the second half to help Antonio Conte’s side protect their lead as the Red Devils grew into the match.

Speaking to BT Sport, Hazard said: “I need Rudiger to play like this every game, then I’ll stay!”

On the match itself, Hazard added: “We tried to defend well. We kept a clean sheet, we scored one goal, it is enough today but if we want to win a lot of games we need to play better because we had to play defensively.”

When asked if the win influenced his decision to stay, Hazard continued: “Now I am just happy. To see the fans celebrate is something we like. We didn’t have a great season but at least we finish with a trophy.”
