Hazard refuses to give up on Premier League title race
Eden Hazard says “you never know” what can happen in the title race following Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Belgium international scored the only goal of the game to hand the Blues their third win on the bounce in all competitions.
And Hazard admits the most important thing was to get the three points after wasting numerous chances to make the scoreline more comfortable.
“[It was a] very good goal, important also. When you play this kind of game you just need to win.
“We created a lot of chances…we didn’t score, that’s the problem, but we have three points and we move on.
“I think Thibaut [Courtois] needed this [result] for the confidence, but I think all the team deserve this, we did well defensively, offensively also.”
On whether Chelsea can catch Manchester City at the top of the league: “The season is long, you never know what can happen. They are top and play well with a lot of goals…but we have a lot of games to play, we will see at the end of the season.”
