Jordan Henderson believes all the right resources, from the squad to the manager, are in place for Liverpool to deliver trophies.
Speaking exclusively to The Telegraph, the Reds captain believes there is a feeling in the air around the Liverpool camp which is acting as great motivation for everybody at the club.
“You sense something,” Henderson said.
“It lifts you and it can definitely affect the opponents as well. It’s the most amazing feeling when they sing You’ll Never Walk Alone.
“You feel honoured to be part of it – and then you just have to go and give the best performance you can.”
When asked about whether winning the league was the ultimate goal, Henderson was confident that Liverpool are more than capable of challenging at the top.
“That’s the plan,” Henderson added. “The players we have got. The manager we have got. Everything is set for us to go and achieve great things but it is down to us to make sure it happens.”
Henderson was also full of praise for manager Jurgen Klopp and gave a fantastic insight into what Liverpool life is like with the charismatic German.
“He’s a fantastic manager,” Henderson said. “A great person. There’s such a good atmosphere in the camp.
“He’s got a great balance between when to be relaxed and when we need a kick up the backside… we all look up to him.
“The man-management, the tactical stuff is outstanding and we can see the benefit. I’m sure it will just get better and better and he will be very successful.
“Always striving for more is a big asset and I think the manager is the same. Even after a good performance he is always looking at the stuff that we could have done better, to move forward and be successful and try and win trophies.
“That’s the end goal. That’s what we want.
“A huge, a world-class manager coming into the club is a big plus… He knew the size of the club and thought he could make it successful and have an influence and he certainly has done that in a short period of time.”
