Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes it is only a matter of a time before Pep Guardiola manages a team in the Premier League.
Manchester City are believed to want Guardiola to take over the helm at the Etihad, while Chelsea has also been mentioned as a possible destination, with doubts over Jose Mourinho’s future at Stamford Bridge.
And Henry – who played under the Spaniard at Barcelona – insists the 44-year-old will eventually take charge of a team in England.
“I think eventually he will come. He’s a competitor, he will want to win a title in every league possible,” Henry said.
“It will suit him, being here in the Premier League. He already speaks English. Maybe that’s one thing that tells us he will come sooner rather than later.”
Guardiola has remained coy about his future – despite his contract at Bayern expiring at the end of the current season – although chief-executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is “optimistic” he will agree an extension to stay put at the German champions.
