Thierry Henry has welcomed the prospect of Paul Pogba returning to the Premier League, but warned that a transfer could be difficult.
According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are ready to launch an official offer of £87m for their former midfielder, with officials from both Manchester United and Juventus set to meet soon.
This report came before Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola labelling recent rumours as ‘bull****’.
Juventus are ready to put up a strong fight to keep hold of the 23-year-old and have reportedly made plans of their own to offer him a new contract.
Speaking about a potential transfer, Henry believes his fellow compatriot would light up the Premier League and hopes that he will make a dramatic return this summer.
“We all know about the quality, how good he is on the ball,” Henry said. “He’s an all-round player but he understood his role at the tournament [Euro 2016].
“Hopefully he can come back to the Premier League – it would be great for us and for whoever got him but he’s still a Juve player and they’re not going to let him go [easily].”
