Alexis Sanchez and Lucas were among the statistical stars of the weekend, with Memphis Depay and Rudy Gestede among the strugglers.

Manchester United beat Sunderland 3-0 to wrestle the lead at the top of the Premier League table away from early pacesetters Manchester City, who were thrashed 4-1 at Tottenham.

Spurs were big climbers in our Power Rankings table on the back of the victory, but it is West Ham – held 2-2 by Norwich – and Crystal Palace – 1-0 winners at Watford – who are the surprise names at the top of the tree.
