Ander Herrera believes the appointment of Jose Mourinho will allow him a great chance to improve as a player at Manchester United.
Mourinho is expected to spend big in his task to get United back challenging for the Premier League title again, with Juan Mata and Daley Blind tipped to be fall guys.
Rather than fear for his own place, however, Herrera is relishing the prospect of working under the former Chelsea boss.
“Working with Mourinho is a unique opportunity to work with one of the best in the world,” he told Spanish radio La Ser.
“He has a widely acclaimed method of working and I want to learn and improve. I consider his arrival to be a one-off opportunity for me to continue to develop and grow.”
Herrera made 40 appearances in all competitions last season but started only 17 games in the Premier League and has struggled to truly establish himself as a first-team regular.
